Tilled Soil is a type of tile which results from the use of a hoe on a soil tile. This tile does not normally appear on a map when a new game is started, however it is created due to the actions of a player or a workerbot.

Tilled soil tiles are mostly used in the preparation of soil to make cereal in a cereal farm. When cereal seed is placed on this tile, it will turn into cereal crop, where it will grow until maturity until it is harvested. Once harvested, the tile is once again a soil tile and must be tilled with a hoe before it becomes tilled soil again.
Other than the general appearance of the cereal crop while it is grown and before it is harvested, there are no practical reasons for tilling the soil. The game developers, however, have suggested that may change in the future as they intend to give some improved benefits to the additional effort needed for tilling the soil.
